wether is Christianity,Islam,Judaism,Taoism,Buddhi… etc etc. why do we as people think our religion is better than someone elses? Are we that conceitied or are we just blind to see that there is no true answer out there of exisitance of a higher being. I do believe in this higher being and im aware of his presence. But why is religion becoming a topic that people around the world are fighting and killing themselves over. Will society ever accept all religions? Will religion eventually be erased from society? Will this higher being show his or her face on this Earth?

It's refreshing to find people who think like you. I am a Christian and respect all religious beliefs. However, I don't respect the people who attack others for their religious differences. Religion will always be a part of society, because most societies laws and customs are based from religious beliefs.

Religion in my opinion is blind faith. We have yet to completely prove that a god exists in each religion. If god was real then wouldn't all religions believe in one same god? Or wouldn't we have the same train of thought as far as if we will go to heaven in a certain way. Some believe that if they die they will see virgins in heaven, but then take ours, we will see Our families and friends again in the same form. Religion will probably be done away with cause of thousands of years we have yet to resolve this matter. It's still battle of the religions cause no one can come to one over all similar conclusion.

I am hopeful that religions and other nonsense beliefs - ghosts/afterlife/spirits/Jeremy Clarkson etc will eventually disappear from society as we advance both in terms of our scientific knowledge and our social awareness. Its fairly well accepted that religions were a natural result of the evolving humans need to understand their place in a large and confusing world and this has stuck with us as we discovered the existence of the other planets and stars and gradually realised that we live on a tiny insignificant planet amongst billions upon billions of others. This need *should* gradually decrease as our knowledge grows leading to a more open and tolerant global society. In theory.

I don't want to seem like a hypocrite, because I did say I respect other's beliefs, but one group I've never been able to understand are Athiests. There is proof that God exists. Look at this planet, look at this Universe. Even many scientist believe that there is some kind of God or supreme creator. And as to "why don't all religions believe in the same god?" Well Christianity, Islam, and Judaism all believe in the same God. They acknowledge the same disciples and profits, just in different ways. Buddhism is complicated, it is really more of a way of life than a religion. You can be a Buddhist and another religion. There are many Buddhist Christians, Jews, and Muslims in the world. Hinduism, has many good principles, but worships multiple gods. I consider myself to be a Christian, with some Buddhist influences. I follow a lot of Edgar Cayce's (look into this man, his well documented and true story may convert you) ideologies, and have come to some of my own conclusions. I believe that, there isn't one God that created the entire universe, I believe in multiple "Gods" that are the creators, or supreme rulers of say, a galaxy, a solar system, or maybe just one planet with intelligent life. It just seems incomprehensible that one God created, and looks over the entire universe. The God I worship, is the God from the Bible, and that is just what I believe happened on this planet. The Bible said God created the Heavens and The Earth, that does not entail the entire universe. Another thing that seems incomprehensible, and just plain stupid, to me is that the entire mass of the Universe was once condensed into a small dot and exploded creating all of the galaxies? Are you kidding me? Hubble needs to do better than that if he is going to convince me. So galaxies are moving away from us, and we are pretty sure the Universe is constantly expanding, how does that prove the Big Bang Theory? And if the Universe is expanding, what lays outside the Universe, just nothing? The fact is, there are millions of questions that science can't answer and the same for religion. That is why both are partially true. I don't believe everything in the Bible, a lot of it is just symbolism, and probably human influence. Like if a person is gay that means he/she is going to Hell. A person can't help it if they are gay, and if they are good people and believe in God, why shouldn't the be worthy of Heaven? One thing I know for sure though is that there is a God. I know this, because I have felt God's touch. It is an indescribable feeling, and I have felt it more than once. I also know that there are good and evil supernatural forces. I know this because I have had something evil try to possess me. This may sound like some psycho bullshit, and make you completely discredit my argument, but I promise on my life and the lives of my family that it is true. I've always considered myself to be a Christian, but I never really took it seriously. I came to a point in high school when I really didn't know what to believe. Four times throughout my junior year, I was visited by something pure evil in my sleep. I would be in the middle of the worst nightmares of my life (sometimes, I think I was seeing Hell each time), but I was aware I was asleep and having a nightmare. I was literally consciously paralyzed in my sleep, fighting to wake myself up. In the nightmare something pure evil would come over me and I could feel it inside of me. Every time a part of me wanted to give in, there was a temptation to see what it would feel like to lets this thing come over me. I wondered if it would make me smarter, or more powerful, or make me capable of things I only dreamed of. Each time, I had to fight to gain composure of myself to pray to God to get this evil away from me. Each time, as soon as I prayed the evil would leave and I would wake up feeling more terrified than I had ever felt. Mild cases of this "sleep paralysis" are common, but I found there are many people who have had something more than can be explained by doctors. I am sure what was happening to me wasn't anything natural because of the last time it ever occurred. The final time this evil tried to possess me was the hardest I ever had to fight. It was like it wouldn't let me receive God's help. I remember I was trying to muster up the strength to say "get out". When I finally spoke the words "get out" they were said in two voices: a very faint whimper of my voice, and a deep scratchy and demonic sounding voice. I could feel it come out of my throat, and I could hear it with my own ears. I promise I am not crazy, and I swear this really happened to me. God can send me to Hell if I am lying. I want people to see this, because some people need to realize we are not insignificant creatures on an insignificant planet, with no purpose at all. Do you really want to believe that? How can you believe that? I feel sorry for people who think that they die and that's it. Now that I know for a fact that God is real, and I have a relationship with him, I feel obligated to show people that God is real. We do have a purpose in this world, and that is to make it a better place, and accomplish as much as we can for the benefit of our planet, mankind, and in homage to God. Religions flaws come from the sin and evil side of man. Unfortunately, religion is used to manipulate and extort people, start wars, and gain political power. But when religion is used the way it is meant to be used it is a great thing. God loves and created us all,and in return asks for your praise, not necessarily by exclaiming how great he is all the time, but by living your life by God's virtues. All religions have basically the same virtues beliefs between right and wrong. All of us sin, and nobody is perfect, and I have a long way to go before I think I am worthy of God, but I am on the path. I want everyone who reads this to begin on that path. That is why I wrote this huge statement, which i will save, probably add too and change for different audiences, and eventually send and read to more people. This argument site will be the first, but not the last to see it.
